Steve Weizenecker has devoted his career to developing and utilizing production incentives across entertainment, including film, television, music and video games. Steve was the drafts-
man behind the Georgia Music Investment Act, which provided the first tax credit in the state
for scoring, musical recording and touring. He continues to advocate for further expansion
of production incentives for the music industry, including a pro- posed bill that would allow the film-tax credit to apply to films that license compositions created in Georgia. Steve serves on the board of Georgia Music Accord, which has the license to create
a Grammy Museum in Atlanta. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Governor’s Advisory Com- mittee on Film, Television, Music and Interactive Entertain- ment. Among his clients are mas- sive studios like NBCUniversal and ViacomCBS, estates includ- ing the Estate of Isaac Hayes, Jr. and entertainment trade asso- ciations like the Entertainment Software Association and Georgia Music Partners.

Seth Gold focuses his music practice on litigation and dispute resolution. In his 25-plus-year career, he’s represented clients in a wide variety of litigation where music and the law intersect. This includes representing authors and publishers of musical works in copyright-infringement actions, representing a famous rock band in a lawsuit alleging the band’s music and lyrics incited violence
and representing artists in mer- chandising disputes. Outside
of litigation, Seth routinely counsels clients on various issues relating to the Copyright Act, including fair use, ephemeral use, digital sampling and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
